Cats track well in a following sea
A catamaran is much better than a monohull in a following sea, as a mono will plow into the front wave as they come down, then turn or pitch-pull when they plow into this next wave. Cats are more bouyant in the bow making a cat boat more relaxing to drive in a following sea.

"My first ride on a Cat was going out of Indian River Del. Approaching the inlet I saw waves breaking and 35' to 50' charter boats having trouble getting through it.My buddy said "hold on" as I called him crazy. We hit those waves and sailed into the like a rocket. I was waiting to pound the water and have sore kn ees the rest of the day.The cat laid onto the water like a beach towel on the sand and we quickly caught and passed the charter boats. "I was Hooked""
